Aura Angels are experts in funeral arranging, celebration-of-life planning and supporting families through difficult times. They’ll be there for you and your loved ones.
Our Perfectly Simple plan is for those who wish for a no-fuss, no-frills funeral. Our Angels will simply arrange the cremation and make sure that your loved ones are looked after.
Our Angels will assist in the planning and delivery of your funeral or celebration of life, as well as offering extra practical support to your loved ones when the time comes, such as closing down your accounts.
Aura Angel Team Manager
Before joining Aura in March 2022, Kim worked at a woodland burial ground and gained her Celebrancy Diploma from the UK Society of Celebrants in 2015. She has since helped many families commemorate and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
Kim says:
“I truly believe that each life should be honoured in a way that reflects who that person was and how they lived their life whilst bringing comfort to those who mourn them.”
How does Kim imagine her funeral?
“Whenever and wherever it may be, I know that (I’ve Had) The Time of my Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes will be blaring out, some unwilling volunteer will read my favourite funeral poem, Belief by Ann Thorpe and afterwards at least a magnum of champagne will be consumed.”
Lucy says:
“I know how hard the weeks and months after a death can be, and it’s a real privilege to be able to walk alongside individuals and families during that time. I came into funeral care because I wanted to help make those hard times a bit more manageable and I really hope that having someone at the end of the phone that truly cares makes the worst of times a little less difficult.”
How does Lucy imagine her funeral?
“I’m a real sucker for uplifting songs at funerals and ones that can be carried by attendees to other moments in their lives. I wouldn’t like to leave specific songs for my family and friends to play, but I’d like whichever music plays to bring a smile! I’d also like them to spend some time doing something that makes them happy in my memory (except golf — I really don’t like golf).“

Lucy joined the Aura Angel team in February 2023, and has worked in funeral care since finishing a master’s in end-of-life policy. Lucy originally wanted to become a palliative care nurse, but found that the longing to become a nurse was fulfilled by supporting bereaved families.

Tracy joined us in May of 2024, building on her existing funeral experience of seven years at a natural burial ground. For her, Aura offers the chance to do meaningful work that fits in flexibly with her family life.
Tracy says:
“Aura allows me to be there for people at one of the most important and difficult times that we all have to face. Being there for families as they carry out the final acts for their loved ones is something that motivates me to be at my best.”
How does Tracy imagine her funeral?
“I want my funeral to be an epic farewell: I want it to make people feel happy that they knew me, with bright colours and lots of balloons. I want a mix of rock and country music that reflects my personality. It must not be a morning funeral, though, as I am not a morning person!”
