Our five-star rating is due to several reasons, including guaranteed cost inclusions such as cremation fees, free hand-delivery of the ashes to a chosen person, no extra charges for collection, free cancellation and no expiry clause.
We offer flexible payment plans so you can secure your plan today and pay over a longer term. You can either pay in full or spread the cost of your plan over 12 or 24 months. The cost of your plan will stay the same no matter how you pay.
If you move home, just get in touch to let us know. If you do choose an attended cremation and have already told us your preferred location, you can still change it. If you haven’t selected a preferred location then your nominated representative will choose one after you’ve died. If you opt for an unattended cremation, the location of the crematorium will be at Aura’s discretion.
Our attended direct cremation plan offers a simple, no-fuss option that is similar to a traditional funeral, without many of the unnecessary and expensive costs. There are no hearses or limousines, or high-end coffins. Our team will take the person who has died to the crematorium privately, and we respectfully lay them to rest in the chapel before the family arrives. All of our funeral plans include a simple, wood-effect coffin, but your family are welcome to change this when the time comes if they would like (however please note this is not included in the cost of the plan, so additional charges for this will apply).
Yes. While an attended direct cremation is simple and private, you can personalise the ceremony with readings, stories or speeches from loved ones as well as your favourite music.
Your family can be as involved as they want in your cremation but our team is here to handle the details. We can organise the collection, paperwork and the cremation itself. Your family will still need to handle death registration, any floral tributes and a celebrant although we can offer recommendations and guidance.
