The sense that we are not in control of things when we enter the latter stages of life is something many of us worry about, but this worry could be mitigated with a prepaid funeral plan. A big reason behind getting a funeral plan is that it allows you to dictate your legacy, decide exactly how your funeral should go in advance, and even allowing to make sure that it is all fully paid for. This gives you the gift of peace of mind for your remaining years, knowing that it's all sorted. In buying one, whether in Middlesbrough or elsewhere in Britain, you will also lock in today's prices, meaning that, even if your plan is not activated for many years, it is already fully paid for. It's up to you whether you pay it all in one go, or in instalments over one or two years. Furthermore, Aura's plans are all-inclusive, so there's no extra charge for doctor's fees, collection, or oversized coffins. If you'd like to benefit from the peace of mind that a funeral plan could bring, why not get in touch with us to see how we could help; we'd be delighted to talk to you.
Aura is proud to say that our funeral plans start at less than half of the average UK funeral cost found in the SunLife Cost of Dying Report 2024. Our starting price is £1,695, whereas the figure given by SunLife is £4,141. We know how much stress the cost of a funeral can add to family life, so we hope that this is welcome news. Furthermore, our plans are all-inclusive, which is not always the case with other providers. It means that there will be nothing left to pay for you or your family when the time comes for things like medical-device extraction prior to cremation, or for doctor's fees.
It's common to have concerns about the flexibility provided by a funeral plan when you are thinking about buying one. People often worry about what will happen if a life change means they need to cancel or change things at short notice. The good news is that Aura's funeral plans are designed to help you respond to life's unpredictability, as you can cancel or amend one for any reason at no extra cost. Should you need a refund, you have only to ask and we can arrange it, where an amendment to an existing plan will only cost you extra if you expand it. If you'd like to learn more about this, or if you want to cancel or amend an existing plan, please just give us a call.
In buying a plan, you'll pick a person close to you (whether a relative or friend) to be your responsible person. We'll make sure they're given a helpful document that explains all of the steps that they need to take when it comes time. They'll call to tell us that we need to activate your plan, at which point the money you've already paid will be accessed in order to pay for your funeral. We'll work together with your responsible person, supporting them in the organisation of your service. If you are not going to have any guests at your cremation, we will assist them in completing the legal paperwork, but if you would like attendees, we'll also help them put together the funeral itself.
Aura is a family business, which puts a caring ethos at the centre of everything it does. Paul Jameson is our founder, and he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2017. His experience with the disease made him want to put things in place for his family, but he found that there was nothing available that would let him do that his way. That's when he decided to set up Aura, which he did in 2019, intending it as a gift for his family. Today, Paul supports his son Dave (our CEO) and Ben, a family friend, in the running of the company. All of this means that we can say a commitment to caring service is in our DNA, and that you'll be getting the kind of service that Paul would want for himself.
